At least 2 Gaza rockets strike open fields near southern Israeli towns

 

No injuries have been reported after ‘Color Red’ rocket sirens sounded in 2 Israeli towns near the border with Gaza.

The Israeli military confirmed late Friday that at least two rockets fired by Palestinians in Gaza landed in communities near the border.

Just moments earlier, rocket sirens sounded in Israeli towns adjacent to the border with the Gaza Strip. The sirens were heard in Sderot and the Sha’ar Hanegev regional council.

Gaza Fires Rocket at Israel

 

No injuries or damage reported after Gaza rocket falls in open field near the border.

IDF units are searching the area for the projectile. There were no injuries in the attack. Rocket sirens sounded in the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council in the area before the rocket fell.

Earlier, citizens in the area reported hearing an explosion.

At the beginning of the month the IDF deployed an Iron Dome missile defense system battery in the southern city of Beersheba. Continue Reading »

A Gazan woman and her infant daughter were killed when the Israel Air Force struck a Hamas arms-production site, and brought down a nearby house in northern Gaza, according to Palestinian medical officials.

The IAF launched air strikes on two Hamas targets in northern Gaza early on Sunday in retaliation for a Palestinian rocket attack on Ashkelon on Saturday night. The incoming rocket set off warning sirens, sending Israeli residents fleeing for cover, and an Iron Dome anti-rocket battery intercepted the projectile in the skies over southern Ashkelon. There are reports that as many as four rockets were fired from Gaza, and some residents of the south reported seeing Iron Dome missile defense batteries deploying to intercept the incoming rockets.

A Code Red siren was heard shortly beforen noon in the Eshkol Regional Council, an Israeli community close to the Israel Gaza border, and was soon followed by blasts, residents reported – indicating that a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed in Israel.

Israel retaliates in pre-dawn airstrike on 10 terror targets in Gaza

IDF chief of staff Benny Gantz said earlier on Saturday that Israel holds Hamas responsible for ongoing rocket fire from Gaza.

Israeli warplanes struck rocket-launching targets in the Gaza Strip before dawn on Sunday, the army announced.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, IAF aircraft hit 10 targets in central and southern Gaza.

US & UK urge UN to probe Israeli seizure of Iranian arms ship

 

Officials at the UN reported that if Klos C arms ship did actually originate in Iran, that would have violated standing UN Security Council sanctions.

UN chief condemns Gaza’s rocket attacks on Israel

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemns the Islamic Jihad for firing the 60 rockets that landed in Israel and also ‘urges all actors to exercise maximum restraint to prevent further incidents.’

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday condemned a series of rocket attacks against Israel that originated in the Gaza Strip and provoked swift Israeli retaliation.

Israel bombed 29 targets in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said, after Palestinian militants in the coastal territory fired 60 rockets into Israel in the heaviest such barrage since 2012.
