Caught Palestinian prisoners mistakenly thought Israeli Arabs would help

Analysis: Following the capture of 4 of the 6 prisoner escapees, it’s clear the apprehended fugitive Palestinian terrorists expected assistance from the Israeli Arabs before entering a more ‘friendly’ West Bank for weapons and protection.

The relatively quick arrest of four of the six Palestinian prisoners who made a dramatic escape from Gilboa Prison earlier this week indicates their plans were not as sophisticated as security officials initially estimated.

They also probably did not receive significant assistance from accomplices outside of prison.

Israel’s Arab Sector and Illegal Weapon

Israel Police have confiscated over 4,000 illegal weapons so far this year, with 90% of them in the possession of Israeli-Arabs.

More than 4,000 illegal weapons have been confiscated in Israel over the last 10 months, the Hebrew-language daily Israel Hayom reported, citing police officials.

About 3,600 of these weapons were found in the Arab sector. In other words, 90 percent of Israel’s illegal weapons and ammunition come from Arab-Israeli households.

Among the confiscated weapons are 526 pistols and 435 rifles, mostly of the assault-rifle variety.

PA demands Palestinian homeowners seek official approval to deal with Israeli Arabs

Saying Israeli Arabs are involved in nefarious endeavors and must be vetted by Abbas’ Preventive Security Forces before Palestinians are allowed to rent their home, the PA seeks to eliminate possibility that Israeli Arabs may be used as go-between to facilitate property sales to Jews.

Palestinian landlords wishing to lease properties to Palestinians who hold Israeli ID cards are now required to receive permission from the Palestinian Authority.

The measure, announced last week by the PA, has drawn sharp criticism from Arab residents of east Jerusalem, who hold Israeli ID cards.

Palestinian officials call for Arab boycott of new, joint Israeli-Palestinian Mall

Palestinian activists, motivated by Fatah officials, have called for a total boycott by Arabs of the first joint Israeli-Palestinian shopping mall that’s set to open just north of Jerusalem.
– Economic normalization with Israel, the boycotters say, “is an act of intentional treason.”

Palestinian activists have called for boycotting the first Israeli-Palestinian shopping mall, which was built by supermarket chain owner and developer Rami Levy in the industrial zone of Atarot, north of Jerusalem. The mall, which is expected to open soon, cost NIS 200 million and has more than 50 businesses.

Israeli Arab Muslim Attacked Over Pro-Israel Facebook Photo

 

Persevering after being attacked by fellow Arab for posting Israeli flag on Facebook, Khaled Abu Mokh says many more Arabs do love Israel.

Khaled Abu Mokh is an Israeli Arab Muslim who loves the Jewish state. He works at a hotel in Jerusalem, together with a number of other Israeli Arabs. Last week, one of those Arab co-workers violently attacked Abu Mokh over his pro-Israel stance.

A number of Israelis returning from a vacation in Greece with Aegean Airlines on Monday caused a scene when two Arab-Israeli men boarded the same aircraft and drew their attention.

Jerusalem Palestinians continue to break taboo by seeking Israeli citizenship

Although, the majority of East Jerusalem Arabs refuse Israeli citizenship, more Palestinians are requesting it, acknowledging the lack of a peace deal, a weaker legal status, and simple pragmatism.
