Israel Police Open Temple Mount for Limited Worship on Friday

Israel’s PM Netanyahu urges restraint following an assassination attempt by an Islamic terrorist on Yehuda Glick, a  right wing Jewish activist.

The Temple Mount will be open Friday to Muslim men over the age of 50 and to women of all ages, the Israeli police announced Thursday evening after on Wednesday it decided to close the compound until further notice amid the recent escalation in violence in east Jerusalem and Wednesday night’s attempted assassination on a Jewish right wing activist.

MK Moshe Feiglin threatened by former MK Hazan over medical marijuana distribution

 

Channel 2 news reported MK Feiglin squabbling with former Likud MK Yehiel Hazan over the medical cannabis distribution by Sarel, a company whose CEO is a friend of Hazan’s
• The reason for Feiglin’s intervention is his desire to open the distribution market, forcing prices down considerably.

MK Moshe Feiglin (Likud), who supports the legalization of soft drugs, was threatened by a former MK of his party, Yehiel Hazan, who is also a close associate of the chief executive officer behind the company that has sole distribution rights for medical marijuana in Israel, a Channel 2 news report said on Monday.

MK Feiglin Attacked on Temple Mount by Muslim Rioters

MK Feiglin criticizes authorities for ‘weakness’, after the police’s response to Muslim rioting was banning Jews and tourists from the holy site. “It is clear to the Palestinians that violence pays off. Israeli weakness encourages this violence.” observed Feiglin.

Two Arab rioters were arrested Thursday for attempting to attack MK Moshe Feiglin (Likud Beteinu) as he visited the Temple Mount. Hundreds of rioters threw stones at Feiglin and several individuals who accompanied him. Feiglin was forced to leave the site, and police took steps to break up the riot.

Pollard rally brings thousands to US Embassy in Tel Aviv

 

Knesset Member Feiglin says to demonstrators: “It doesn’t look good, Mr. Obama, that only the Jew has been kept in jail for such a long time.”

 

Thousands of people chanted “free Pollard now” and “enough is enough” in a demonstration for the release of Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard in front of the US Embassy in Tel Aviv Sunday night.

“Today, after nearly 30 years [that Pollard sits] in prison, there is no one who does not know that Jonathan’s life sentence is grossly disproportionate and unjust,” the agent’s wife, Esther Pollard said to a crowd of 3,000 according to event organizers’ estimates.

MK Moshe Feiglin (Likud) on Wednesday confronted MK Ahmed Tibi (Ra’am-Ta’al) at the Knesset over his behavior during Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s visit earlier this week.

Feiglin got up during a Knesset debate, which Tibi was chairing in his capacity as Deputy Knesset Speaker, and told Tibi that his outburst during Harper’s speech had shamed the Knesset.

Israelis who believe the Temple Mount should remain in Israeli hands must take urgent action, Likud MK Moshe Feiglin warned Thursday.

Feiglin, who heads the Jewish Leadership faction of the Likud party, visited the Temple Mount on Thursday despite knowing he would find it locked to Jews, as a display of protest.

It was recently revealed that the Superland theme park had a practice of having Jewish schools and Arab schools visit on separate days. Managers argued that the practice was necessary to avoid violence and said that both Jewish and Arab teachers had asked for the separate days.
