Report: Swedish cities donate public money to fund anti-Semitism

Research published by Gatestone Institute concludes Swedish municipality official use local taxes to endorse anti-Semitic groups, so when anti-Semitic scandals occur in their cities, those city officials tasked with addressing the hate-crimes are often the very same officials responsible for distributing the funding that led to them.

Sweden’s municipalities and government are directly and indirectly funding anti-Semitic organizations, according to a research conducted by Gatestone Institute for International Relations.

The research was published by Nima Gholam Ali Pour, a member of the board of education in the Swedish city of Malmö, as well as a participant of several Swedish Middle East teams. Continue Reading »

Wallstrom called to investigate the Jewish state for “executing” Palestinian Arabs, in an attempt to delegitimize the actions of security forces killing Arab terrorists as they conduct an attack. Sweden’s foreign minister is apparently mastering the craft of angering Israel when the opportunity arises.

Last month, Israel condemned as “shockingly hostile” comments by Margot Wallstrom that seemed to link the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with the ISIS-backed terrorist attacks in Paris.

Jews Not Invited to Sweden Holocaust Commemoration

 

Although Swedish organizers cited ‘security concerns,’ Jews from the 300-strong community believe the Kristallnacht commemoration was ‘hijacked’ – to focus on the Muslim population and not on the Jewish Holocaust.

Israel has won an important victory over the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement (BDS) when a boycott on the sale of Israeli products in a supermarket chain in Sweden has been cancelled.

The national supermarket chain COOP has 655 branches across Sweden. Israel, that was worried the boycott would spread from three local stores in the city of Varberg to all branches nationwide, launched an impressive media campaign to combat it.

Sweden Invites Abbas in Official ‘Royal’ State Visit After ‘Palestine’ Recognition

Stockholm officially invites PA President Abbas despite the fact that ‘Palestine’ doesn’t yet exist.

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas will visit Stockholm next month after Sweden became the first major state of the European Union to recognize the PA as “Palestine,” the Swedish government announced Friday.

“The visit of president Abbas, by invitation from the prime minister, is confirmed for February 10,” foreign ministry spokeswoman Ulla Jacobson told AFP. “He will also meet the foreign minister, the king and the archbishop.”

She said the agenda would include the Arab-Israeli peace process and “what Sweden can offer after (its) recognition” of “Palestine” in October.

The EU member country joined only two other Western European countries — Malta and Cyprus — that have officially recognized a Palestinian state.

A man was severely assaulted in the Swedish city of Malmö on Sunday night after hanging an Israeli flag out of his window, according to local media reports.

Police suspect that the attack against the 38-year-old was a hate crime, The Local website reported. “Our initial evaluation is that this is a hate crime,” policewoman Marie Keismar said.

Sweden to Investigate Israel Over the Marmara

Blekinge Sweden to seek ban on circumcision

Much of the intensification of efforts to ban ritual circumcision are by anti-immigration nationalists who seek to limit the effect that Muslim presence is having on Swedish society.

 

A county in Sweden is planning to ban non-medical circumcision of boys, its commissioner said.

Per-Ola Mattsson, commissioner of Blekinge County, said he would move ahead with plans to ban ritual circumcision by bringing the subject up in February with the county’s health board, according to an article published Thursday by the Sydöstran Daily.

According to Dagens Medicin, Mattsson, who is also chairman of the Public Health Board of Blekinge, said he opposed the practice because minors “have no possibility to say no to the surgery and therefore the county should not perform these procedures.”
