UPDATED: 3 uniformed Israelis injured, Arab driver shot in apparent car-ramming attack

WATCH VIDEO: The driver hit his first victim outside the northern city of Acre, then continued driving towards the city’s train station where he hit the other two victims before being neutralized by security forces.

Three Israelis, two identified as Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers and one a Border Police officer, were lightly injured in a suspected car-ramming attack in the northern city of Acre on Sunday.

The driver of the vehicle was shot and seriously wounded in attempts to subdue him.

Palestinian incitement in ‘car intifada’ against Israelis used in their media.

Police said that the background of the incident remains unknown, but that they were investigating the possibility that the incident was nationalistically motivated.

Report: WATCH Policeman who shot neutralized ‘scissor terrorist’ cleared of ‘wrongful death’

The policeman who was questioned by Justice Department’s Department for Investigations of Policemen over the killing of a terrorist will apparently not face criminal prosecution, according to Channel 2.

The investigation was launched following the so-called “scissors terror attack” last month near the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem, by two teenage Arab girls. Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein and State Attorney Shai Nitzan decided to launch the investigation based on suspicion that the policeman shot one of the terrorists when she was already on the ground after having been “neutralized.”

Switzerland arrested 2 Syrian nationals planning chemical terror attack

 

Two men with Syrian passports nabbed on suspicions of transporting ‘explosives & toxic gases’ in Geneva, possibly for an attack on the UN headquarters.

Swiss authorities said Saturday that two people of Syrian origin had been arrested on suspicion of transporting “explosives and toxic gases” as part of a probe into a terror threat.

The two suspects arrested Friday are accused of the “manufacture, concealment and transport of explosives and toxic gases,” the federal prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

They are also under suspicion of violating Swiss law prohibiting “groups like Al Qaeda, Islamic State and similar organisations,” it added. Continue Reading »

Following reports that a Red Crescent ambulance passed by the site of Friday’s deadly terrorist attack and ignored the victims as they lay dying, the Israeli government will be launching an international campaign against the organization, which in principle does not treat Jews – despite being bound to treat all casualties regardless off their identity.

In 2nd Stabbing Today, Border Cop Lightly Injured & Palestinian Terrorist Shot Dead

A Border Police officer was stabbed and  lightly injured at Habitot Junction in the West Bank near Ariel on Saturday evening.

After the stabbing, the terrorist, 16-year-old Ahmed Taj was shot and killed by security forces.

Following the attack, the Border Police officer who shot the terrorist described the incident.

Three Israelis were wounded in a vehicular terror attack Thursday afternoon at Sinjil junction, near Shiloh in Samaria, several kilometers north of Jerusalem.

Two of the wounded Israelis are in serious condition, suffering from “multi-system damage,” according to paramedics.The third victim was lightly hurt.

Hamas condoned on Wednesday a stabbing attack on a Tel Aviv bus which left nine people injured, calling it an act of heroism.

A 23-year-old man from the West Bank city of Tulkarm, illegally residing in Israel, stabbed nine Israelis on the 40 bus line near Maariv junction. Two of the victims were seriously wounded and several others suffered moderate injuries.

A terrorist stabbing attack took place Wednesday morning on a bus in central Tel Aviv, on Begin Road, near Beit Maariv. The terrorist in an Arab man, reportedly from Judea and Samaria.

A video taken a few minutes after the attack shows wounded civilians receiving first aid from emergency teams.

A video uploaded to Facebook by Jerusalem Councillor Arieh King shows the terrorist after his arrest.

Up to 17 people were reported wounded in the stabbing.

Ecuadorian Karen Mosquera, 22, who was critically wounded in the Jerusalem light rail terrorist attack last week, succumbed to her wounds on Sunday at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem, raising the death toll in the incident to two people.

A Jerusalem court on Thursday ordered a Jerusalem Arab to pay a haredi Israeli NIS 2.5 million (over $750,000) as compensation for an attack he carried out against a Jewish worshipper.

Israel Police prevent terrorist-related gas explosion in Jerusalem neighborhood

3 apartment buildings in Jerusalem evacuated after residents notice 2 deliberately severed cooking-gas lines.

 

 

A massive gas explosion was narrowly averted Tuesday morning after residents of Armon Hanatziv reported high concentrations of leaking gas and subsequently discovered two deliberately severed gas lines to their building, police said.

According to a police spokesman, upon smelling the odorous gas several residents promptly contacted officers who arrived within minutes along with Magen David Adom and firefighting units to prevent an imminent and deadly blast.

“The pipes were intentionally cut which caused extreme danger, so police evacuated three buildings in the area and shut off the gas supply,” the police official said shortly after the incident. Continue Reading »
