REVEALED: Following Obama betrayal at UNSC, Israel sought Putin’s protection

Why, 3.5 years after the Obama White House betrayal of Israel at UN Security Council, did PM Netanyahu tell “in a closed meeting” this week how he turned to Russian President Putin to stop a second American anti-Israeli resolution at the United Nations?

By LAHAV HARKOV

Three and a half years after UN Security Council Resolution 2334 condemning Israeli settlement activity passed thanks to an US abstention, as opposed to their usual veto, new details published this week raised new questions.

When the resolution passed in December 2016, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government’s representatives in the US were furious. Continue Reading »

Palestinians tell UN: Israel sabotaging efforts to fight coronavirus

The Israeli Ambassador: “The contempt they have for the truth and how to address a crisis situation is unparalleled. With one hand, they receive Israeli aid to curb the coronavirus in PA territory, and with the other they continue to make false allegations against Israel at the United Nations.”

By Ben Ariel

Israel’s Amb teaches UN history lesson on Jewish legal rights to Israel

WATCH: Having been asked by the UN Security Council president to justify Israel’s policies in the West Bank, Israel’s Ambassador Danny Danon expounded with “the four pillars that prove the case for Jewish ownership of the Land of Israel.”

Anyone who claims Israeli towns, settlements or cities that are in Judea & Samaria (a.k.a. the West Bank)… or anywhere in Israel are ‘illegal’, are ignorant of real Int’l Law.

The politicalization of the UN and their popularly biased resolutions, such as the one that Obama allowed to be passed (that deems Jews in Jerusalem as ‘trespassers’ – UNSC Resolution 2334 denies Jews the right to pray at the Western Wall!) Continue Reading »

WASHINGTON — When the Trump administration demanded a UN Security Council vote on Friday meant to counteract a Kuwaiti resolution condemning Israel, the Israelis saw the birth of a new diplomatic strategy that it hopes becomes the norm.

Under the plan, Israel would no longer face hostile votes at the council without the US counter-punching, demanding a vote on language that calls out “the hypocrisy of the council,” Danny Danon, Israel’s ambassador to the UN, told The Jerusalem Post on Friday. Continue Reading »

In Palestinian political chess with Trump, Abbas seeks full UN state membership at UNSC

In latest diplomatic game of tit-for-tat, Palestinian chairman Abbas sets his cohorts to the UN Security Council seeking to upgrade their non-state status at the UN, knowing the expected US veto will render their efforts theatrical at best.

By Itamar Eichner

The Palestinians are planning to ask the UN Security Council to upgrade their status from a non-member observer state to a full member state with voting rights at the United Nations.

The Palestinian move is the latest in a diplomatic war that was sparked by US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, escalated when the Palestinians pushed for the adoption of a UN General Assembly resolution rejecting the American declaration, and recently culminated in US threats to cut funding for the Palestinian Authority and the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
