Chinese execs to study at Tel Aviv University

Executives to take business course as part of cooperation agreement with Nanjing

 

Some 1,000 senior Chinese executives and entrepreneurs have enrolled in the LAHAV Executive Education program at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Management, the Yedioth Ahronoth daily reported.

On Monday the university is scheduled to host a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and China. During the event, a cooperation agreement is expected to be signed between the university and the city of Nanjing.

According to the agreement, each year, for the next five years, Nanjing will send 1,000 senior executives and entrepreneurs to take a course titled “Entrepreneurship and Innovation: The Israeli model.”

The ceremony will be attended by a delegation of senior officials from Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province in China. The delegation is headed by the secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Committee, Yang Weize.

The course, which begins this week, focuses on the Israeli economy’s unique ability to produce successful technology companies.
