Amid corruption in UNRWA, Switzerland suspends payments

The Swiss Federal Dept of Foreign Affairs clarified that it has already transferred $22.5 million to UNRWA for 2019, so the suspension of financial support would be for 2020, as it attaches special importance to good governance for international organizations.

Switzerland suspended payments to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) until completion of a UN investigation into ethical misconduct among senior officials in the organization, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday.

The Swiss clarified that it has already provided UNRWA with its pledged $22.5 million for 2019 and that the suspension would only impact money slated for 2020. Continue Reading »

US Rep. Tlaib defends BDS, blasts ‘racist’ Israel

Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib once again expressed support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement and accused the Israeli government of “racist policies”.

The comments by the Muslim congresswoman from Michigan were made on Sunday in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.

REPORT: Massive blast rocks Hezbollah command center

Syrian rebel media outlets report mysterious explosion at Hezbollah’s command center near Damascus as the terror group is reportedly positioning its forces in southern Syria to prepare for an attack on Israel, should current Persian Gulf/Iran tensions boil over.

Media outlets affiliated with rebel groups in Syria on Monday published photos purporting to show smoke rising from an attacked Hezbollah command center in the town of Yabrud, north of the capital Damascus.

UK to disclose amount of PA aid goes “to encourage & reward murder”

Overturning last year’s decision, the UK believes there is a ‘significant public interest’ in knowing how much of the £430.5 million the UK gives the Palestinians that’s not earmarked for specific targets, but does go “to encourage & reward murder” of Israelis.

The United Kingdom’s Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham has ordered the Department for International Development (DFID) to disclose audit reports of accounts into which British grant money was transferred and allegedly used to pay salaries to convicted Palestinian terrorists.

The decision, signed on Friday by Jonathan Slee, senior case officer for the Information Commissioner’s Office, overturns a 2018 refusal by both the DFID and its internal reviewer to disclose these reports, following a Freedom of Information request made by UK Lawyers for Israel (UKLFI) last year. REPORT: Sexual misconduct, corruption at highest levels of UNRWA

In an internal ethics investigation of the UN agency created to maintain Palestinian Arabs as eternal refugees, reports of sexual misconduct, corruption, abuse of power along with a host of ethics violations were directed at the highest levels of the agency, including its chief, Pierre Krahenbuhl.

An Internal ethics report has alleged mismanagement and abuses of authority at the highest levels of the UN agency for Palestinian Arab refugees and their descendants even as the organization faced an unprecedented crisis after US funding cuts.

Israel’s new Foreign Minister: We will relocate all embassies to Jerusalem

Israel’s new Foreign Minister, Yisrael Katz, scheduled to present a “national, diplomatic and strategic objective of the highest order” to the cabinet for the transfer of all foreign embassies currently in Tel Aviv to Israel’s capital.
– To promote the plan, Israel would give countries an aid package of about $14.2 million to ease moving expenses.

Cyprus police arrest British woman for falsely accusing 12 Israelis of rape

UPDATED: All 12 Israeli youths were released from custody and allowed to fly home after the unnamed 19 yr-old British woman admitted that she accused the group after one of the teens who entered the room during the act refused to have intercourse with her.

The 19-year-old British tourist who claimed that she was gang-raped by 12 Israelis in the Cypriot resort town of Ayia Napa was arrested on Sunday, while the Israelis were released after she admitted that the sexual intercourse was done with her consent, according to Israeli media.

After the woman got angry with the youths for taking videos and pictures of the act, she falsely reported rape, which led to her arrest for giving false testimony and the decision to release the suspects. Continue Reading »

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas declared Thursday that all signed agreements with Israel, including its ongoing security coordination in the West Bank, would be terminated over “all the violations against our people.”

U.S. blocks anti-Israel resolution at the UN Security Council

Facilitated by the Palestinian Authority, Kuwait, Indonesia and South Africa sought to condemn Israel for it’s demolition of 10 apartment buildings illegally built, in what Israel’s High Court determined a high security threat to the State by ignoring their location and defiantly constructing them along Israel’s security barrier.

UNITED NATIONS – The United States on Wednesday blocked an attempt by Kuwait, Indonesia and South Africa to get the United Nations Security Council to condemn Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes on the outskirts of Jerusalem, diplomats said.

Israel said the 10 apartment buildings demolished on Monday, most of them still under construction, had been built illegally and posed a security risk to Israeli armed forces operating along a barrier that runs through the West Bank. Continue Reading »

Anti-Semitic, pro-BDS Ilhan Omar charged with fraud, perjury in ethics complaint

A complaint with the House of Representatives Office of Congressional Ethics against Rep. Ilhan Omar (Min D) has been filed by an American conservative activist group, on charges of immigration fraud, federal tax fraud, marriage fraud and numerous counts of perjury.

A conservative watchdog group has filed a formal complaint against Minnesota congresswoman Ilhan Omar, accusing her of multiple counts of fraud and perjury.

Judicial Watch announced Tuesday evening that it has filed a complaint with the House of Representatives Office of Congressional Ethics, and is calling for a full investigation of Rep. Omar.

Head of ‘covert Hezbollah terror network’ on Syrian border with Israel killed

Israel, which does not comment on foreign reports, has remained silent on Mashour Zidan’s mysterious assassination. Hezbollah has also refrained from commenting and has not blamed Israel for the car-bombing.
