The latest intensive round of rocket attacks by Gaza Arab terrorists on southern Israel continued Tuesday night, as terrorists fired three Kassam rockets at the region. One rocket hit the city of Netivot, while the two others fell in open areas of the Negev. Miraculously, there were no injuries or damage reported. IDF troops were sweeping the targeted areas to gather parts of the exploded rockets.

Earlier Tuesday terrorists fired two rockets at southern Israel, one on Tuesday afternoon, and one at about 6:00 AM. Both exploded in open areas of the Negev, and here, too, no injuries or damage were reported.

Tuesday’s rocket attacks followed a wild Simchat Torah holiday in southern Israel, which was targeted by Gaza Arab terrorists with at least 50 Kassam rockets and mortar shells. At least two buildings were damaged, and a significant number of goats were killed when a missile struck a children’s animal corner in one kibbutz. A mortar shell also exploded close to a synagogue in a barrage that was fired at about 5:50 a.m. Monday.

The attacks came in response to an Israeli air strike Sunday in Gaza. Arab sources in the area claimed that 10 people were injured in the attack. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said the surgical air strike targeted two Global Jihad terrorists – Tala’at Halil Muhammad Jarbi, 23 and Abdullah Mohammed Hassan Maqawi, 24, as the two were riding a motorcycle. The IDF said the two were in the final stages of planning to carry out a terrorist operation against Israel during Simchat Torah. Maqawi died Monday of the wounds he sustained in the strike, local sources said.
