7 More IDF Soldiers/Officers Killed

 

Israel’s toll among the IDF in Operation Protective Edge reaches 25 dead, 30 injured, Monday.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Office stated Monday night that seven additional soldiers and officers have been killed in Gaza, as the fourteenth day of Operation Protective Edge draws to a close.

Their families have been notified.

Sergeant First Class Yuval Dagan, 22, from Kfar Saba, served in the Golani Brigade.  Dagan’s funeral will be held Monday night in the military cemetery in Kfar Saba.

Lieutenant General Dolev Keidar, “Gefen” commander, 38, from Modi’in was killed during the infiltration attempt into Israel early this morning. Keidar’s funeral will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday at the military cemetery in Modi’in.

Sergeant First Class Tal Yifrah, Golani Brigade, 22, from Rishon LeTzion. Yifrah was killed in clashes in Gaza early this morning. Yifrah’s funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at the military cemetery in Rishon LeZion.

Sergeant Nadav Goldmacher, 23, from Be’er Sheva, was also killed in Monday morning’s infiltration attempt. He will be buried in the new cemetery in Be’er Sheva at 11:00 am Tuesday.

Sergeant Major Beinisian Kshun, 39, from Netivot, North Gaza Division, was killed during the infiltration attempt.

Second Lieutenant Yuval Heymann, 21, of Efrat, was killed in the incident this morning in which terrorists infiltrated Israeli territory and fired anti-tank missiles at the soldiers. Uploaded sergeant rank of lieutenant – a year after his death.

Sergeant First Class Jordan Ben Simon, 22, of Ashkelon, served in the Golani Brigade, and was killed in ground fighting.

In addition, three soldiers were seriously injured, eight suffered moderate injuries, and 19 suffered light injuries.

Death toll rises

Twenty-five IDF soldiers and officers have been killed in Gaza since the beginning of the operation.

The identities of all 25 are not known; however, five names of the thirteen soldiers killed in Gaza on Sunday were released earlier.

They include Captain Tzafrir Bar-Or, a commander in the Golani Brigade, 32, of Holon; Major Zvi Kaplan, a commander in the Golani Brigade, 28, from Merav; Gilad Yaakobi, 21, of Kiryat Ono; Sergeant Oz Mendelovich, 21, from Avtalion; and Nissim Sean Carmeli, 21, of Ra’anana.

Five additional IDF soldiers were killed between Thursday and Saturday, including, hy”d: Cadet Bar Rahav, 21, of Ramat Yishai; Sergeant Benaya Ruval, 20, of Holon; Col.Amotz Greenberg, 45, of Hod Hasharon; Sgt. Adar Bersano, 20, of Nahariya; and Sgt. Eitan Barak, 20, from Herzliya.
