The 4th Int’l Jerusalem Marathon is set for this Friday with 25,000 runners from 54 countries are expected to take part in one of several tracks.
The 800-meter social race, the International Jerusalem ”Winner” Marathon, supports the needy.
Runners from all over the world are expected to take part this Friday in the fourth International Jerusalem Marathon. Some 25,000 runners from 54 countries are expected for the 2014 marathon in one of several tracks: full marathon, half marathon (which Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat will run), a 10-kilometer race and 5-kilometer race.
In addition, 6,000 participants, including non-profit organizations, celebrities, public figures, families and children will run in support of Jerusalem’s needy in the 800-meter social race, known as the International Jerusalem ”Winner” Marathon.
In the days leading up to the marathon, the Jerusalem Municipality will host a sports and health event at the Jerusalem International Convention Center. On Thursday evening, a traditional pasta dinner will be held at the center for those running the full or half marathons.
