In yet another failure of the BDS movement calling to boycott Israel, the international pop superstar Robbie Williams landed in Israel on Thursday at 6 p.m. ahead of a concert in Tel Aviv on Saturday night.
The 41-year-old British musician, who is one of the best selling artists of all time, touched down at Ben-Gurion International Airport in his private Boeing jet, according to Yedioth Aharonoth.
Accompanying Williams is his wife, the Turkish-American actress Ayda Field, as well as their daughter Theodora Rose and six-month old son Charlton Valentine.
Also with him was his father Robert Williams, who will join him to sing on stage at the concert, in addition to three caregivers, and the family dog Spencer.
From the airport, Williams and his family traveled to the hotel in Herzliya where they will be staying. On Friday his wife is expected to visit Jerusalem, according to the paper.
On Saturday the gates of the Park Hayarkon performance site will open at 6:30 p.m. A lead act by the famous Israeli singer and actress Ninet Tayeb will take place two hours later, with Williams taking the stage at exactly 9:30 p.m.
Ahead of his trip, Williams told Yedioth Aharonoth that he’s most looking forward to Israel of all the stops on his current regional tour.
As he does before every major international artist performs in Israel, virulent anti-Israeli Roger Waters, a former member of the band Pink Floyd, sent a letter urging Williams to boycott the Jewish state. Clearly the international popstar was having none of it.
