If Hezbollah attacks Israel, IDF will raze Lebanon to the ground

In response to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s threat to strike Israel’s main airport & harbors with missiles in a future war, Israel’s Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz warned that should that happen, “we will return it [Lebanon] to the Stone Age.”

It did not take long for Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah to respond to a recent comment by a senior defense official saying that Israeli airports would be shut down from the first day of any future war between Israel and Hezbollah.

In a speech given from an undisclosed location in Beirut on Tuesday, Nasrallah said, “The Israeli officer was right. In the next conflict, they will have to close all of the seaports and airports, as there is no place in occupied Palestine that our missiles cannot reach.”

Nasrallah claimed he was not concerned by statements coming from Israel.

“The Israelis realize they are in a position of weakness,” he said. “Since the start of the struggle in Syria, the resistance has become stronger and more determined. The Israelis do not rely on the false reports in the Arab media that Hezbollah is taking losses in Syria. They gather information in other ways and they know how strong and determined we are.”

Nasrallah went on to assert that Israel was deterred from attacking Lebanon due its fear of Hezbollah’s response.

“We always keep our eyes on Israel and we are vigilant regarding the plans of the Zionists,” he said.

Israeli officials did not remain indifferent to Nasrallah’s words. In a Facebook post, Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) responded to the threat against Israel’s transportation hubs, writing: “To avoid any doubt, Nasrallah the cowardly braggart should know this: Such an option does not exist for us. If this scenario does materialize, we will raze Lebanon to the ground. We will return it to the Stone Age and bury [Nasrallah] under the rocks.”
