Israel is being named as one of the defendants in a new lawsuit over the wrongful execution of Jesus filed at the International Court of Justice in The Hague (ICJ).

Kenyan lawyer Dola Indidis – Israel Today

Prominent Kenyan lawyer Dola Indidis argues that the evidence provided by the Bible demonstrates that Jesus was subjected to “selective and malicious prosecution” that “violated his human rights through judicial misconduct.”

The lawsuit targets Roman Emperor Tiberius, Pontius Pilate, King Herod, numerous first century Jewish elders, the Republic of Italy and the State of Israel.

While most of the defendants are long since deceased, Indidis insists that, having adopted many of the laws of ancient Rome, Italy and Israel can and should still be held accountable for this miscarriage of justice.

“I filed the case because it’s my duty to uphold the dignity of Jesus and I have gone to the ICJ to seek justice for the man from Nazareth,” Indidis told Kenyan media. “I am suing as a friend.”

An ICJ official who spoke to the website Legal Cheek noted that the court has absolutely no jurisdiction to make a ruling on the matter. “It is not even theoretically possible for us to consider this case.”
