The IDF has been stepping up its fight against Hamas in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) in wake of the recent open battle with Hamas in Gaza. Earlier this week troops went to arrest a terror suspect in Hevron and ended up finding a weapons warehouse in a private home.

First Lieutenant Erez Korach told Arutz Sheva about the mission. “We got an order about a house where a suspect was hiding… We got to the house, closed him in, and burst in.”

“As we broke in the wanted man jumped from one of the windows with a gun. One of our soldiers arrested him.”

Troops searched the home and found “a large quantity of weapons and ammunition,” he said. “They had everything: pistols, ammunition for sniper rifles, M-16s and more.”

Korach said his unit has been conducting such arrests “at least three times a week.” Despite the danger, motivation remains “sky high,” he said.
