Leading Jewish philanthropists, with the help of pro-Israel activists, are organizing a conference to discuss ways to combat the recent surge in anti-Israel boycott efforts. The conference, scheduled for this coming weekend, will focus on fighting the worldwide Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel.

The initiative was thought up by Jewish-American businessman and philanthropist Sheldon Adelson and his wife, Dr. Miriam Adelson, and is to be held at the Adelsons’ Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.
The idea behind the conference is based on the model they developed for cultivating medical advances, promoting cooperation between different groups to make the process more efficient and yield rapid results.
Jewish philanthropists in the U.S. have been talking for some time about the need to join forces to combat the BDS movement. Among the many Jewish businesspeople and philanthropists to take part in the event are Israeli-American billionaire Haim Saban and Israeli-American real estate developer Adam Milstein, who is also a board member of the Israeli American Council.
