The intelligence body plans to take part in Monday’s job fair at Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba, where students heading into the labor market will be recruited by no less than 30 of Israel’s leading companies.

The fair will feature companies specializing in technology, finance, management, and medicine. The firms that plan on taking part include Marvell, EMC, Intel, Maccabi Pharm, Prigo, Check Point, Elbit Systems, the Jewish Agency, Israel Aircraft Industries, Raphael, Amdocs, and Orange.

“In recent months, we are seeing instability in the job market where quite a few companies from a number of fields are firing workers due to the economic situation or because of changes in the business environment,” said Prof. Moshe Kaspi, dean of students at BGU.

“Nonetheless, we are seeing greater demand on the part of employers who want to hire more quality students in the fields of technology, health care, medicine, and sales.”
Kaspi said the turnout of high-end companies show that BGU students represent “quality, significant human capital for the Israeli job market.”
