Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan called Zionism a “crime against humanity” likening it with anti-Semitism, fascism, and Islamophobia  while speaking at a UN forum on Wednesday.  Erdogan was speaking Wednesday before a Vienna forum of the Alliance of Civilizations, a UN framework for West-Islam dialogue.

Rachel Corrie grew up in an eloquent family. Last week her parents addressed the court’s ruling that they were not entitled to any compensation for their daughter’s death by an Israeli bulldozer along the Philadelphi Route. This is a “black day for human rights,” they said with impressive western restraint and the talent of seasoned propagandists.

UN’s Ban to Iranian Leaders: Stop Threatening Israel

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told Iran’s leaders to stop threatening Israel, his spokesman said on Wednesday.

Ban, who arrived in Iran on Wednesday for the Non-Aligned Movement Conference, had a series of meetings with Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, spokesman Martin Nesirky said.

Ban also held talks with the Iranian Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani, and with Saeed Jalili, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council. Continue Reading »
