Israel Police Arrest Jew on Temple Mount for Non-Violent Response to Islamic Hecklers

After being shouted at, Prof. Yoel Elitzur was arrested Thursday for responding with, “Hashem, – He is God” (in Hebrew) to Islamists who yelled repeatedly, ‘Allahu Akbar’ at him.

Rabbi and Professor Yoel Elitzur was arrested Thursday morning by Israeli police on the Temple Mount, fellow Temple Mount rights activists said.

Elizur, a resident of the Samaria town Ofra, is a veteran activist for Temple Mount rights and has ascended to the holy site many of times in the past.

White House Supports Suppression of Religious Freedoms to Jews on Temple Mount

State Dep’t spokeswoman confirms the Obama Administration supports Muslim ban on Jewish (or Christian) worship at Judaism’s most Holy site.

In the wake of the attempted assassination of Rabbi Yehuda Glick, a prominent advocate of allowing Jews to worship atop the Temple Mount, the Obama Administration confirmed that it supports the suppression of full religious freedom at the Jerusalem holy site.

During a press conference last Friday, State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki was asked to articulate the White House’s reaction to the shooting of Glick, a US citizen, by a Palestinian Muslim terrorist.
