Palestinian Autocrat Mahmoud Abbas Terminates Contacts With Israel

 

PA chairman announces he’s freezing all contacts “with the occupation state on all levels” because of the metal-detectors placed at the Temple Mount entrance, which he claims are “falsely presented as a security measure to take control over Al-Aqsa mosque.”

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas announced on Friday he was freezing contacts with Israel over its new security measures at the Temple Mount.

Abbas said in a speech that the freeze would stay in place until Israel lifted the measures, reported the AFP news agency.

“I, on behalf of the Palestinian leadership, announce… a freeze of all contacts with the occupation state on all levels until Israel commits to cancelling all the measures against our Palestinian people in general and Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular,” Abbas announced, to applause from Palestinian officials. Knesset Member Danon: PA’s UN Bid Means Israeli Sovereignty Bid

PM must tell PA leaders that if they seek recognition as a state in ‘West Bank’, Israel will seek to annex the region, MK says.

Likud MK Danny Danon has a response to the Palestinian Authority’s plan to seek United Nations recognition as a state. If the PA seeks statehood unilaterally, he told Arutz Sheva, Israel must unilaterally annex Judea and Samaria (Shomron).

Past experience with the PA’s UN bids shows there is no need to fear the “political tsunami” predicted by Defense Minister Ehud Barak last time, he said.
