Secret negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority have taken place in the last few weeks addressing the return of full Palestinian security control over cities in Area A of the West Bank, Haaretz reports.


According to senior IDF officials quoted in Haaretz, the IDF would use Ramallah and Jericho as test cases, withdrawing from them initially and then from other Area A cities depending on how the “trial” goes. Continue Reading »

Security staff protecting Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas got into a scuffle with UN staff on Wednesday.

The brief altercation occurred after Abbas was allowed to enter the UN General Assembly chamber through the front door, while his security staff – as per UN protocol – were not. After some pushing and shoving, Abbas’s security staff were directed to another entrance.

Hamas Official Attacked by Angry Palestinians Over Gaza Destruction

Palestinian Arab sources said Tuesday that Gaza residents attacked Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri Saturday evening, near the Shifa Hospital.

Abu Zuhri had arrived at the hospital for an interview with a news outlet.

The residents blamed Hamas for the death of family members and for destruction of their homes. Armed Hamas terrorists from the Izzedine al-Kassam Brigades extricated Abu Zuri and arrested the angry residents. Continue Reading »

PA Purposely Spread Erroneous Story of IDF Shooting at Arab Motorist

PA security forces spread, then after caught, retract, false & inciteful  story of IDF soldier opening fire on Arab driver who actually died in a car accident.

Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces spread a false story on Tuesday, claiming to AFP that IDF forces had opened fire on a car driven by Arab residents near the western Samaria town of Tulkarem, killing one. The death turned out to have simply been a traffic accident.

The initial report claimed IDF bullets or a car crash resulting from the “shooting” killed the driver and injured the passenger. It added that the car veered off the road as a result of gunfire. Continue Reading »

The Palestinian security services in the West Bank have arrested three students accused of plotting to build a “drone” with which to attack Israel, a source said Friday.

The three Hebron University engineering students had intended to build a pilotless aircraft equipped with explosives, according to the Palestinian security source.

Jericho: 112 Palestinians graduate from West Bank security studies program

112 newly graduated Palestinian officers from security studies program in Jericho were congratulated by Palestinian President Abbas & foreign diplomats who attended the program’s first graduation ceremony.

Amid their parents’ cheers, graduates marched to the stage in green uniforms while Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stood to honor them.
