At the farewell ceremony of the Jewish State’s first Arab citizen appointed to the Supreme Court, Israel’s Supreme Court President Miriam Naor said, ‘Joubran is the Israeli embodiment at its best.’

Supreme Court Justice and Vice President Salim Joubran retired Thursday from his post at the mandatory judicial retirement age of 70.
