#MuellerReport: Trump tried to thwart Obama’s anti-Israel UN resolution

The Muller report revealed Michael Flynn testified that before taking office, then President-elect Trump’s team attempted to prevent the infamous UN Security Council Resolution 2334 that Obama would allow to pass, condemning all Jewish presence in Jerusalem (yes, even at the Western Wall), Judea and Samaria.

The Israeli angle: The Muller report, which examined Russian involvement in the US presidential election, showed that Donald Trump worked to counter anti-Israel bias at the United Nations even before he entered the White House.

According to a report by Barak Ravid for Channel 13 News, Trump, his adviser Jared Kushner and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, worked with several foreign governments to prevent the Security Council Resolution condemning the Jewish presence over the so-called Green Line in December 2016,

Flynn said during his interrogation by the FBI that Trump and his team saw the thwarted decision as a significant issue. Continue Reading »

Trump’s team tells Obama: Don’t force solution on Israel between now and January 20

 

President-elect’s aids warn Obama that he “shouldn’t go seeking new adventures, or pushing through policies that clearly don’t match Trump’s positions.”

President-elect Donald Trump’s aides reportedly warned President Barack Obama not to “even think about” trying to push for progress on the Israeli-Arab conflict between now and January 20.

Politico quoted a “national security adviser” of Trump’s as saying Obama “shouldn’t go seeking new adventures or pushing through policies that clearly don’t match Trump’s positions.” This includes “efforts to bring peace to the Israelis and the Palestinians – even if those initiatives are symbolic at best…[Trump] has made it very clear he will support Israel and its preferences.” Continue Reading »
