People were shocked to find their iPhone 5 identifying Jerusalem’s Western Wall (Kotel) in the Palestinian Territories.

Apple is often first in breaking new ground with the latest hi-tech gadgets. Now the company has introduced yet another brand new notion: Jerusalem‚Äôs Wailing Wall (known as the Kotel) is in “Palestine.”

Women of the Wall agree to pray in newly designated space

Women of the Wall is demanding that the Robinson’s Arch section be equal to the existing plaza in size, topography, budget and facilities.

TEL AVIV — Women of the Wall agreed in principle to pray in a new egalitarian space adjacent to the Western Wall Plaza, provided the space meets several conditions regarding design and management.

Until those conditions are met, Women of the Wall said in a statement Monday that it will continue praying at the women’s section of the Western Wall, as the group has for 25 years.

Women of the Wall Ignore Newly Designated Prayer Area

Dozens of women avoid the new prayer area recently opened at the Western Wall, convene in the women’s section to mark the new month of Cheshvan.

Dozens of members of the “Women of the Wall” organization arrived at the Kotel, (Western Wall) Friday morning to celebrate the new Hebrew month of Cheshvan.

The women did not pray at the non-denominational  “Israel Plaza” recently opened by Minister for Religious Affairs MK Naftali Bennett, (Jewish Home), but instead insistence on convening in the women’s section of the Western Wall plaza, surrounded by familiar protests, shouts and police officers.

On its first day, the new section called “Ezrat Yisrael,” hosted 6 bar mitzvahs & weddings.

Palestinian Authority Denies Jews Any Rights to Western Wall

 

Decree is just another example in a string of anti-Israel propaganda, as “peace talks” are set to begin.

In what is being described as yet another example of Palestinian Authority (PA) denial of the Jewish connection to Jerusalem and the very legitimacy of the State of Israel, the Presidential Guard of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has claimed the Western Wall as an Arab and Islamic site.

Last week, a picture of the Western Wall was posted onto the PA Presidential Guard’s official Facebook page with a PA flag superimposed on it, along with the words “The Al Buraq Wall – Public Relations and Information – The Presidential Guard – Palestinian youth know their rights.”

Women of the Wall asks for use of Kotel’s Torah scroll or to bring in its own

Anat Hoffman, chair of Women of the Wall said it was “absurd” that Rabinowitz has refused Women of the Wall’s offer to donate a Torah scroll to the Kotel (Western Wall) for use by female worshipers there.

Two opposing women’s groups vie for status quo settlement at Western Wall

‘Women for the Wall’ strenuously oppose ‘Woman of the Wall’, for their attempts to force a change in the status quo at the Kotel.

Women of the Wall, the activist group that holds women’s prayer services each month at the site known as the Kotel, loudly sang festive prayers at a spot far from the wall itself. Police had barricaded them there, ostensibly for their own protection. A few feet away, a group of harediOrthodox boys shouted at them, called them Nazis, blew whistles, waved signs and raised a primal scream.

Temple Mount closed on Tisha B’av to Jewish visitors

Islamic terror prevails on Temple Mount, Judaism’s most Holy site. Jews bared from entry to prevent Arab violence.

 

JERUSALEM — The Jerusalem Police closed the Temple Mount to Jewish visitors a day after Arabs protested such visits.

The closure on Tuesday coincided with the fast of Tisha B’av, a day of Jewish mourning for the destruction of the two Jewish Temples that were located on the site.

Jew who Yelled Allahu Akbar Shot & killed at Western Wall

A Jewish man has been killed this morning at the Western Wall complex in a shooting after yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’ and then making suspicious movement.

A civilian guard shot a Jewish man at the Kotel (Western Wall) on Friday morning.

Paramedics attempted to revive the man for 20 minutes, but were ultimately forced to declare his death.

The incident took place in the public bathrooms at the site. No others were injured in the incident.

The guard reported that the man shouted, “Allahu Akbar,” and pulled an unidentified object from his pocket. “Allahu Akbar,” literally “G-d is great,” in Arabic, is often shouted by terrorists immediately before an attack. Continue Reading »

Arabs say ‘No’ to Israel’s Western Wall plans for egalitarian prayer-site

PA religious affairs minister says replacing Mugrabi Bridge to Temple Mount for egalitarian section may “push all of us to new conflicts and problems,” stressing the Western Wall is an Islamic holy site.

Federations of North America support Sharansky’s Western Wall compromise

The Jewish Federations of North America’s board of trustees passed a resolution supporting Natan Sharansky’s proposed compromise on egalitarian prayer at the Western Wall.
