IDF Investigation Finds Soldiers Not Liable in PA Terrorist-Minister Abu Ein’s Death

Thorough IDF investigation finds neither Border Police or IDF culpable in terrorist-turned-PA minister’s death by heart attack, but IDF’s CID will continue in independent investigation due to ‘sensitivity’.

An investigation by the IDF GOC (General Officer Commanding) Central Command Nitzan Alon has further cleared the army of any responsibility for the death of convicted terrorist turned Palestinian Authority (PA) minister Ziad Abu Ein, who died last month of a heart attack while clashing with soldiers.

Channel 10 reports that the GOC Central Command investigation has also cleared the Border Patrol soldier who was filmed pushing Abu Ein as he took part in an olive-planting land grab with 300 activists.

As additional details come to light in the untimely death of Palestinian Authority minister Ziad Abu Ein on Wednesday, it would seem that not only did IDF soldiers not kill him, but that Palestinian bystanders actually prevented the Israelis from providing life-saving medical aid as the official lay dying of an apparent heart attack.

Palestinians ‘Suspends Coordination’ after PA Official Dies During Confrontation with IDF

Senior gov’t official, in Abbas’ Palestinian Authority, Ziad Abu Ein died after apparent heart attack. Abu Ein, who often clashed with the IDF, had high blood pressure and still refused help from an Israeli army paramedic.

A senior Palestinian Authority (PA) official died Wednesday, after he apparently suffered a heart attack during a “protest march” in Samaria. Arab sources claim he was struck by soldiers.

Channel 2 news‘s website cited PA sources who said that PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas has decided to suspend security coordination with Israel as a result.
