According to a report in the daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Israeli producers Marcel Avram and Gadi Oron are in talks with the English rock band’s managers for a show in Israel during the band’s European tour, which is scheduled for this summer.

The producers have reportedly offered the band the highest amount ever proffered to an international artist to perform in Israel — roughly $4.5 million, according to the report.

The band’s representatives will soon be arriving in Israel for continued talks, the report said.

Established in London in 1962, the Rolling Stones is still one of the most sought-after bands in the world. A rumor that they were due to perform in Israel last year turned out to be false. This would reportedly be the band’s first show in Israel.
