The Douglas family booked the King David Hotel’s presidential suite, ahead of touring Jerusalem and family’s celebration at the Western Wall plaza.
Jerusalem was star struck over the weekend, as Hollywood couple Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas arrived Thursday in Israel, local media reported.

The glamorous duo brought their children, too. Indeed, the purpose of their under-the-radar visit to the holy land was part of the bar-mitzvah celebrations for their first-born, Dylan Michael.
Mother Catherine, who comes from Welsh and Irish stock, has toyed in the past with the possibility of converting to Judaism, but has yet to go through with it, according to The Forward. Thus, son Dylan Michael is Jewish only on his father’s side, and is not considered Jewish according to halakha (Jewish law).
However, that did not stop him from celebrating his coming into manhood in May in New York, where his father was reportedly so excited he pulled his groin lifting his son up in a chair on the dance floor.
The family, including the couple’s youngest, Carys Zeta, are in Israel to hold another celebration – at the Western Wall plaza – and has in the meantime checked in to the presidential suite of the luxurious King David Hotel. The luxury is estimated to cost some $5,400 per night, according to The Forward.
The merry-makers also took the time for a tour of the city, including a visit to the Temple Mount tunnels and to other holy sites, Israeli media reported.
