Argentinian prosecutor alleges Tehran assembled South American terrorist network

The prosecutor said Iran organized a 1982 seminar in Tehran that was attended by 380 religious men from 70 countries. The meeting was a turning point in the regime’s method of exporting the revolution, which included the use of violence & terrorism.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — The Argentinian prosecutor in the AMIA Jewish center bombing case accused Iran of  building clandestine intelligence stations in South American countries from which to launch terror attacks.

Prosecutor Alberto Nisman’s office made the accusations in a 502-page indictment released Wednesday that blames Iranian officials for the July 18, 1994 attack on the AMIA center, which killed 85 and injured hundreds.

Hundreds protest the Iran-Argentina pact

Philosopher, poet & Argentinian writer Santiago Kovadloff mocked his gov’t for the int’l criticism the pact has drawn.  “But our gov’t is not alone,” he said. “Our gov’t is with Iran!”

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — Some 300 people attended a protest rally against Argentine-Iranian cooperation in investigating the deadly 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center.

Suicide bomberAmong the protestors on Feb. 14 in the Argentine capital were relatives of the survivors of the bombing of the AMIA center. Israeli and Argentinean justice authorities blame Iran for the attack.

“We ask Argentine society’s forgiveness for wasting a great privilege that democracy gave us,” Sergio Bergman, a lawmaker and Reform rabbi, said in a speech at the rally. Continue Reading »

Argentina demands that Iran extradite 8 suspects suspected in the attack that killed 85 & wounded nearly 300 

Among the 8 suspects are former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani & Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi.

Argentinian and Iranian officials are scheduled to meet in Geneva on Tuesday to discuss the investigation of the deadly 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, Israel Radio reported on Monday.

Ex-Argentina president to face Iran terror cover-up trial

Carlos Menem, several former officials will be tried for allegedly protecting accomplices of Hezbollah, Iran, who are believed to have been behind 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center that killed 85.

The former president of Argentina will stand trial for obstruction of justice in the investigation of the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center that killed 85 people and left hundreds wounded.

Judge Ariel Lijo on Friday ruled that Carlos Menem, who was president of the South American country between 1989 and 1999, and several other former officials will be tried for allegedly protecting accomplices of Hezbollah and its backer Iran, who are believed to have been behind the attack.
