Mere days after New Zealand pop-star Lorde buckled under BDS pressure and ultimately canceled her Tel Aviv concert, Sir Ringo Starr announced his “All Starr” band will perform two shows in Tel Aviv on June 23 and 24.

Beatles drummer Ringo Starr will perform for the first time in Israel this summer, joined by his “All Starr” band, more than fifty years after the original plan for a Beatles concert fell through.

The 77 year-old rocker, who was inducted as a solo artist into the Rock &Roll Hall of Fame in 2015, will perform two concerts at the Menorah Mivtahim Arena in Tel Aviv on June 23 and 24 as part of his “Give More Love” European tour. Continue Reading »

Sir Paul McCartney recently released “New,” his first album of original rock songs since 2007’s “Memory Almost Full.” Given the 71-year-old McCartney’s love affair with all things Jewish for the past half-century — including collaborators, business associates, girlfriends and wives — the title could well be meant as a transliteration of the all-purpose Jewish word nu.

Henry Grossman wasn’t a fan of the Beatles when he first started photographing them in 1964, but he would become intimately familiar with the group, snapping thousands of photographs of the Fab Four over the next five years. More than 1,000 of these photos have been collected in his new limited edition book, “Places I Remember: My Time With the Beatles.” There are just 1,200 copies in print, and they retail at a whopping $495 a pop.
