Islamist militia carries out military exercise for invasion of Israel’s capital. General: ‘The Muslim world is waiting for Iran to call them to battle.’

The Islamist Basij militia force in Tehran ran a special military exercise Thursday and Friday preparing for an Iranian takeover of Jerusalem.

​The exercise, entitled “March to Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem),” included training in the event of such a takeover, including drills for the protection of cities, assistance and rescue, dealing with social unrest, the protection of sensitive and important military centers, dealing with the invasion and landing of “enemy” (IDF) forces from helicopters, and carrying out complicated tactical maneuvers at night. Rouhani tells the West: Ignore Israel, Make the Deal

Iran’s President Rouhani tweeted Israel is only concerned about its own interests when it warns against a deal over Iran’s nuclear program.

As world powers and Iran continued talks in Geneva in hopes of reaching a deal about Iran’s nuclear program, Iran’s president on Friday called on the West to ignore Israel and reach a deal with his country.

“The world powers should reach an independent decision that is disconnected from Israel’s position,” President Hassan Rouhani tweeted.

Iranian President: Holocaust a ‘Reprehensible’ Crime Against Jews

The new Iranian president Rouhani, admits the Holocaust took place, tells CNN it was a “reprehensible and condemnable” crime against the Jewish people.

Iran’s new president admitted on Tuesday that the Holocaust took place, in a sharp contrast to his predecessor.

Speaking to CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the Nazis committed a “reprehensible” crime against the Jewish people.

The remark came in response to Amanpour’s question if he accepted that the Holocaust occurred.

“I am not a historian and when it comes to speaking of the dimensions of the Holocaust it is the historians that should reflect,” he said. Continue Reading »

Israel’s PM: Iranian President Trying to Buy Time

Israel’s Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu declares, Iranian President’s speech at the UN was “cynical & full of hypocrisy,”

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly was “cynical and full of hypocrisy,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Tuesday night.

In a statement he released shortly after Rouhani’s speech, Netanyahu said that the speech reflects the Iranian plan, namely to “talk and buy time in order to promote the ability of Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.”

“Rouhani spoke about human rights while Iranian forces are taking part in the massacre of innocent civilians in Syria, he condemned terrorism while the Iranian regime carries out terrorism in dozens of countries around the world,” said Netanyahu, who added that although Rouhani said that nuclear weapons “contradict Iranian morality” a report by the UN’s atomic agency indicates otherwise.
