Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei: Muslim world must unite to free Palestine

In Tehran, IRNA news agency cites Iran Supreme Leader as urging Muslim world to resist control by ‘hegemonic powers.’

The main issues the Muslim world is faced with are the fate of Jerusalem and of “oppressed Palestine,” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Sunday, adding that Muslim nations must avoid inner conflict and stand united against Israel and the control of “hegemonic powers.”

Khamenei’s comments came following a series of recent back-and-forth comments between Israeli and Iranian officials, coming amid continuing debate on the possibility that Israel may initiate military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities. Continue Reading »

Jewish Rep. & Dem. launch Obama video campaigns

Because the RJC released a video of Jewish Democrats disappointed in Obama, the NJDC hits back with residents of Sderot singing Obama’s praises.

 

The video testimony genre is turning out to be popular this elections season in the United States. The Republican Jewish Coalition was the first to launch a campaign with recorded confessions of former Jewish Democrats disappointed in President Barack Obama for not being a friend of Israel.

The National Jewish Democratic Council returned fire with testimonials of Israelis, including some residents of Sderot, the city that suffered the most of the rocket attacks from Gaza, thanking President Obama for his support. Continue Reading »

Iranian Families of the assassinated nuclear scientists to sue U.S., U.K. & Israel.

At press conference in Tehran, the Father of 1 of the scientists reported that they  demanded Iran’s judiciary to pursue their complaints through int’l bodies & bring those behind the murders to justice.

 

Families of Iran’s slain nuclear scientists have filed a lawsuit against Israel, the U.S. and Britain accusing them of involvement in the assassination of their loved ones.

Iranian TV airs confessions in the assassinations of scientists

14 suspects in  the murder of Iranian nuclear scientists confess to the killings on state television; say they were trained at a Tel Aviv facility

Iranian state television on Sunday broadcast purported confessions by more than a dozen suspects in connection with the killing of five nuclear scientists since 2010.

The broadcast showed some of the suspects re-enacting the assassinations in different districts of the capital Tehran. The 14 suspects shown on TV included eight men and six women.

The TV showed pictures from a military garrison it said was a training camp outside Tel Aviv in Israel. Continue Reading »

Former Mossad chief, Israeli minister trade accusations at New York conference

Meir Dagan defends statements made by former Shin Bet security service chief, criticizing Netanyahu and Barak over Iran; Minister Gilad Erdan says Dagan sabotaging international efforts to halt Iran’s nuclear program; Ex-PM Olmert joins in defense of Dagan, Diskin.

 

An embarrassing confrontation broke out on Sunday during a panel discussion at a New York conference, when former Mossad chief Meir Dagan accused Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan of lying, while Erdan replied that Dagan is sabotaging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to put a halt to Iran’s nuclear aspirations.

At the conference, sponsored by the Jerusalem Post in New York, the two also exchanged harsh words after Dagan warned Erdan over the so-called “Dagan law,” forbidding former security officials to issue open statements until a certain cooling period wears off. Continue Reading »

Iran says identified source of reported cyber attack on oil industry

Official at Islamic Republic’s Oil Ministry tells Fars news agency that Iranian security officials were able to identify a computer virus designed to steal and damage data.

Iran has been able to identify the source of a recently reported cyber attack on its oil industry, an official at the Islamic Republic’s Oil Ministry said on Saturday, adding that a computer virus attempted to “steal and damage data.”

On Tuesday, Iran’s Oil Ministry said its IT systems had suffered no lasting damage from a suspected cyber attack, but its experts would require two or three days to investigate and address the impact of the virus.

Report: U.S. asked Russia to warn Iran of ‘last chance’ to avoid military strike

Clinton reportedly told her Russian counterpart to rely message to Tehran that it must engage in talks with world powers or face a military strike within months, according to Russian daily Kommersant.

The United States has asked Russia to deliver an ultimatum to Iran, warning the Islamic Republic that it has one last chance for talks before a military strike, the Kommersant daily quoted Russian diplomats as saying on Wednesday.

According to the Russian newspaper, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in New York on Monday to tell Tehran that it has one last chance to solve the conflict peacefully by making progress in the talks with the P5+1 group – United States, Britain, France, Russia, China, and Germany.
