Abbas is worried the ‘Arab Quartet’ plans of peace with Israel may succeed

 

The “Arab Quartet” and not Israeli policy, is Abbas’s true nightmare, since their promotion of the president’s rival, Mohamed Dahlan to facilitate their efforts promoting peace with Israel, will finally end Abbas’s dream of never-ending power — at the expense and well-being of his people.

Fatah spokesman: 90% of Gazans want to emigrate because of Hamas

Fatah spokesman Qawassmeh, asks Hamas leaders: “Do you feel any national responsibility toward the Palestinians and their cause?”

 

More than 90 percent of Gaza Strip residents want to leave because of Hamas, Fatah spokesman Osama Qawassmeh said on Wednesday.

Addressing Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, the Fatah spokesman asked: “Do you know that more than 90 percent of our people in the Gaza Strip want to emigrate, if given the chance, so they could escape from your regime? With the fading significance of the Palestinian cause those concerned with peace may need to consider contingency plans for a West Bank without Abbas.

Muhammad Dahlan was a possible replacement until allegations by Abbas that Dahlan had murdered Arafat using poison.
