The IDF has taken into custody 3 Palestinian police officers-turned-terrorists who shot & killed a young Jewish father at Joseph’s Tomb.

Israeli soldiers have arrested three Palestinian Authority police officers-turned-terrorists, who shot to death a young Jewish father as he returned from praying at the tomb of the Biblical Patriarch Joseph in Samaria (Shomron).

Arab media outlets reported the arrests in May, but the news was only officially confirmed by Israeli sources Wednesday after the removal of a gag order.

Those arrested were identified as Nawaf Fahd Bani Ouda, 24, Wael Hassin Mahmoud Daoud, 24, and Tarki Diyad Tarki Zuara’a, 23. Continue Reading »

IDF nabs 3 Palestinian Policemen involved in Joseph’s Tomb killing

Palestinian source report  IDF arrested 3 members of Palestinian security forces, suspected of killing Limor Livnat’s nephew.

The 3 were sentenced by PA court to one year and recently released.

Palestinian sources reported that on Tuesday night, IDF forces arrested three members of the Palestinian security forces in the vicinity of Nablus. The three men were involved in a 2011 shooting incident in which Ben-Yosef Livnat, nephew of Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat, was killed.

Palestinian Police turn guns on protesters

In Ramallah, 18 Palestinians injured in riot, 3 protesters & 15 Palestinian cops injured in clashes after protest gets out of control when Palestinian security forces turned their guns on the protesters.

Palestinian security forces shot and injured three Palestinian youths during a riot that broke out in the al-Am’ari refugee camp in Ramallah on Sunday. The extent of their wounds wasn’t immediately clear.

At least 15 police officers were hurt by stones hurled by protesters while trying to clear a major road that was blocked by torched tires.

The PA-IDF collaboration in the West Bank has been faltering

Long-term cooperation between Palestinian-Israeli security units in West Bank at critical junction

The IDF and the Palestinian security forces in the West Bank have been enjoying a relatively good operational relationship over the past few years, but military sources told Ynet Tuesday that cracks have been appearing in the security relations’ proverbial veneer.

According to both Palestinian and Israeli security sources, the PA’s security forces stopped their IDF counterparts from pursuing their activities on at least two occasions in the past few weeks.

IDF Soldiers attacked by PA Police in Hebron

After Palestinian police began a physical confrontation with IDF soldiers patrolling Hebron, some 250 Palestinians youths began throwing rocks at the IDF force

IDF Spokeswoman: This is a serious incident, we are investigating it.

A riot broke out in Hebron on Thursday after a Palestinian mob joined Palestinian police in attacking an IDF force conducting a routine patrol in the area.

The Palestinian police officers and the IDF soldiers became involved in mutual pushing, and one of the Palestinian officers threw a punch. Soldiers used stun grenades to distance the PA officers. Continue Reading »

Where’s Reuters On Its Own Photographer’s Brutal Beating?

A Ramallah protest got ugly yesterday when PA police started cracking skulls — including reporters. Maan News reports that several reporters were beaten up, had their cameras confiscated or destroyed, and that two journalists were even taken into custody.

Electronic Intifada wasn’t spared either. The PA Interior Ministry ordered an inquiry while outrage was all over Twitter.

One of the journalists beaten was Saed Hawari, a Reuters cameraman. Although the Washington Post picked up on the story, it’s strange that I haven’t seen Reuters mention the attack on their own photographer. Unless I missed something, the radio silence is a tremendous disservice — both to readers, and to Reuters itself. Continue Reading »

US Blames Israel for Endangered Americans in PA

The US blamed Israel for endangered American citizens in the PA-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria in a travel warning issued Friday.

The United States bluntly told its citizens it is risky to travel to “Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip,” citing “threats to themselves and the U.S. interests in those locations.”

Although the U.S. trained and equipped the Palestinian Authority’s military police force several years ago – which “resulted in a marked decrease in violence in recent years” – the State Department nevertheless warned that Americans would still not be safe there.

One year ago, PA police gunned down a group of Israelis who were visiting the Tomb of the Prophet Joseph near Shechem, killing one and wounding four others. Continue Reading »
