In its annual report, US News & World Report ranks Israel for the second year straight, 8th most influential country in the world.

US News & World Report has ranked Israel as the world’s eighth-most influential country in the magazine’s 2019 version of its annual list.
The report released this weekend describes Israel as “the only Jewish nation in the world… a small country on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea” that has had a large influence on global affairs.

Israel achieves eighth place as top seven have more military hardware & personnel and a considerably larger annual military budget.

Israel was ranked the eighth most powerful country in the world, according to the US News and World Report‘s power ranking in 2019.
The power ranking was based on leader, economic influence, political influence, international alliance and a strong military. This ranking was part of a subcategory ranking for the US News‘s annual Best Country ranking.
