Israel unveils AI-powered assault rifle

Elbit says ARCAS, which is dubbed the “smartphone for soldiers”, can be attached to assault rifles such as M-16 variants or the Israeli made Tavor, to allow detection of enemies on the run, then mark & lock in on them, so the soldier could again detect them during urban warfare.

Israeli defense electronics company Elbit Systems unveiled its new AI-Powered, Computerized Solution for Assault Rifles, which transforms assault rifles into digitally networked combat machines, and it is expected to make a big difference on the battlefield.

US Army to buy Israeli-made Spike missiles over USA made Hellfire

Forced to develop locally made missiles fired from Apache helicopters after Obama halted sales to Israel in 2014, Israel’s ‘Spike’ has over double the distance of American made ‘Hellfire’ and incorporates advanced technologies with smart target tracking designed with artificial intelligence features.

The US Army has chosen the Israeli-made long-range Spike precision missile to use on attack helicopters as an interim solution for greater standoff capabilities.

According to Defense News, an Army Requirements Oversight Council authorized the decision “ahead of a bigger decision” regarding acquiring long-range precision munitions for its air fleets.

Israel achieves eighth place as top seven have more military hardware & personnel and a considerably larger annual military budget.

Israel was ranked the eighth most powerful country in the world, according to the US News and World Report‘s power ranking in 2019.

The power ranking was based on leader, economic influence, political influence, international alliance and a strong military. This ranking was part of a subcategory ranking for the US News‘s annual Best Country ranking. Royal Jordanian Air Force pilot dismissed for refusing to visit Israel

A Jordanian pilot reportedly been discharged from the Hashemite kingdom’s air force after he refused to visit Israel as part of a joint military venture between the two neighboring countries.
