The largest and most sophisticated aircraft carrier in the American Navy, the USS George H.W. Bush, docked in the vicinity of Haifa Port on Saturday morning.

The Nimitz-class carrier comes with a payload of 90 aircraft, including fighter jets, a spy plane, attack and rescue helicopters, and a V-22 Osprey aircraft with both vertical takeoff and landing capabilities. Continue Reading »

The USS George H.W. Bush to dock in Haifa


The USS George H.W. Bush nuclear aircraft carrier will be anchored off Haifa port for the first time in 17 years, as the ship takes part in air operations against ISIS.
– The ship’s personnel will be provided with dozens of buses to tour Haifa and other parts of Israel.

The USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier will dock in Haifa Bay for the first time in 17 years as it heads back to the Syrian coast to take part in the air campaign against ISIS, the United States Navy said.
