Mossad intel on Iran attack supported US deployment of carrier strike group

A senior Israeli official noted on Israel’s TV13 News that the info obtained by the Mossad was transferred to the Trump administration, and may have formed basis for the decision to bolster US forces, including the deployment of a carrier strike force.

Mammoth US helicopter carrier docks at Eilat port

As part of the US’s re-deployment of its military in the region, the USS Bonhomme Richard docks for the first time at the Israeli port, with its flight-deck loaded with Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey and AV-8B Harriers “to work together with our partners.”

• GHWB’s crew will have dozens of buses to tour the country and will celebrate their Independence Day in Israel on July 4.

The largest and most sophisticated aircraft carrier in the American Navy, the USS George H.W. Bush, docked in the vicinity of Haifa Port on Saturday morning.

The Nimitz-class carrier comes with a payload of 90 aircraft, including fighter jets, a spy plane, attack and rescue helicopters, and a V-22 Osprey aircraft with both vertical takeoff and landing capabilities. Continue Reading »
