Al Arabiya television station reports, Egypt declined to send a delegation into Gaza to mediate, believing the Israel’s response, and Hamas’ reactions are unavoidable at this point.
The IDF began striking Hamas terror targets along the Gaza Strip, IDF spokesperson said on Monday afternoon.
The Israeli airstrike began striking targets across the Gaza Strip in response to a long-range rocket struck a civilian home in central Israel in the morning.
“The IDF has began attacking terrorist targets belonging to the Hamas terror organization across the Gaza Strip. More details to come,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.
The Hamas rocket directly hit the family residence of the Wolf family in Moshav Mishmeret, shattering the house.
Had the family not been able to get to a bomb shelter on time, it is likely they would all be killed, Robert Wolf told the press.
The family members were treated for light injuries at Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.
Gaza based factions released a joint statement on Monday in which they said that “the whole of Israel will become a target to resistance fire” should Israel strike in the Gaza Strip.
