Israel suffered its first casualties of the current round of fighting with Palestinian militants after two people were killed and two others wounded Tuesday by rocket fire on the city of Ashkelon.

Magen David Adom said one of the victim was an 80-year-old resident of the city. The identity of the other victim is still unknown. Two other people sustained wounds in the rocket attack, including one person who is in a critical condition. Continue Reading »

IDF retaliates, shells multiple Hamas posts in Gaza

In retaliation for rocket fire on southern Israel from Palestinian terror enclave, the IDF attacked Hamas military posts and infrastructure.

IDF aircraft and tanks on Friday evening struck military posts and infrastructure used for underground activity by the Hamas terrorist organization in northern Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.

The statement added the attacks were carried out in retaliation for the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip toward Israeli territory earlier in the evening.

Fox reporter refutes Amnesty International’s accusations about Israel

Israeli military carried out a wave of pre-dawn air strikes in Gaza in response to a barrage of rockets fired by Palestinian militants at Israeli communities bordering the Hamas-controlled enclave, IDF officials said.

Gaza health officials said the strikes left one Palestinian dead and three others wounded.

A 65-year-old woman has reportedly been evacuated to a nearby hospital for shock after a projectile fired from the Gaza Strip landed on her home in the southern Israeli town of Sderot. Amateur footage also shows several vehicles damaged in the incident.

Miracle in Sderot as Gaza rocket hits Yeshiva, no injuries reported

A rocket struck Sderot late on Thursday night as sirens wailed along border communities in the South.

Following the sirens, residents reported hearing explosions. It was later found that a rocket directly impacted a building in Sderot. There were no injuries.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said on Sunday night that he does not rule out the possibility of reaching a ceasefire agreement with Israel.

In a statement, Haniyeh said that the “return to calm is possible and depends on the commitment of the occupation to a complete ceasefire.”
