Circumventing Obama’s War On Israel

Israel’s current situation vis-à-vis the US is unpleasant, and will likely to remain so for another 2 years. But this isn’t the end of the world.

On Wednesday, the Jerusalem Municipality announced it is shelving plans to build 1,500 apartments in the Har Homa neighborhood. Officials gave no explanation for its sudden move. But none was needed.

Obama’s Agenda & the goal of the White House’s foreign policy

The administration’s goal is not to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. The goal of Obama’s foreign policy is to weaken the State of Israel.

It isn’t surprising that the US and the other five powers signed a deal with Iran on Saturday. Over the past few weeks, US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry made it clear that they were committed to signing a deal with Iran as quickly as possible.

And it isn’t surprising that the deal these overeager leaders signed with the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism makes the world a much more dangerous place than it was before the agreement was concluded. Continue Reading »

Livni’s misguided political strategy

Livni’s national security track record show, whatever her intentions may be, she is totally incompetent to understand, secure or advance Israel’s national security.

For Justice Minister Tzipi Livi, all politics are personal. She can be trusted, because she is good. Her opponents must be rejected, because they are evil.

In her speech at The Jerusalem Post’s Diplomatic Conference in Herzliya last Thursday, Livni insisted that the only “legitimate” basis for opposing a Palestinian state is ideological. Livni stridently rejected the notion that one can oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state – in the two-state solution framework – for security reasons.

Column One: Israel vs. Obama & EU Appeasement Path

Tehran gives no indication that they will suspend all uranium enrichment and still the White House sees “level of seriousness and substance that we had not seen before.”

Speaking to the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Wednesday, Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz explained Israel’s concerns about the nuclear negotiations with Iran in Geneva. “We’re worried Geneva 2013 will end up like Munich 1938.”

Well, the time for worrying has passed. The statements from the Obama administration and the EU following the closing of the first round of talks all made clear that Geneva 2013 is Munich 1938.

Pro-Israel Jews & gentiles alike should be on ‘High Alert’

The ‘true believers’: Barry, Bibi & Kerry, and the inevitable destruction awaiting from their fanaticism fermented in fantasy.

By Caroline B. Glick

W ERUSALEM— Standing next to US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday morning, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni gushed that through his indefatigable efforts to bring Israeli and Palestinian officials to Washington, Kerry proved that “nothing can stop true believers.”

Paresh Nath, The Khaleej Times, UAE

As usual, the cognitively-challenged Livni told us something she hadn’t intended to say. The term “true believer” was coined by Eric Hoffer in his classic work The True Believer from 1951, which Livni has obviously not read. Continue Reading »

American Foreign Policy: Wounded & Dangerous

Israeli leaders for the most part have reacted to U.S. Sec. of St.  John Kerry’s constant harping by rolling their eyes. He seems like a complete lunatic. Obviously Kerry will fail and the best thing we can do is smile and nod, like you do when you are dealing with a crazy person.

By CAROLINE B. GLICK

US Secretary of State John Kerry looks like a bit of an idiot these days. On Monday he announced that he will be returning to Israel and the Palestinian Authority and Jordan for the fifth time since he was sworn into office on February 1. Continue Reading »

The NGOs that undermine non-Jews who wish to serve

Support for those who serve the IDF or in national service without reference to their race, gender, or religion are systematically stymied by NGOs that are funded by foreign gov’ts.

In 2010, Cpl. Eleanor Joseph became the first female Arab combat soldier in the IDF.
Joseph, a Christian Arab told Ma’ariv that her good luck charm is a drawing of the Star of David with the caption: “I have no other land, even when my ground is burning.” Her commander drew it for her.
Elinor Joseph, was born 1991 into a Christian family from the Arab village of Jish, is the first Arab woman ever to serve in a combat role in the I.D.F.

Column One: Dershowitz & Current Realities

Dershowitz apparently does not think that it is important to focus on the nature of things in the Islamic world, the realities, rather, he places his faith in his power to shape the future through his intellect & his willingness to compromise.

There are two main reasons that many leftists who are viscerally supportive of Israel have difficulty understanding and defending the Jewish state today. First, the storyline about Israel is deeply distorted.

ex-PM Olmert: Israel is covertly preventing a nuclear Iran

Former PM Olmert says Israel has done “many things quietly” to prevent Iran from going nuclear, but the effort must be led by the US.

Olmert, 2 ministers & envoy to US will address annual ‘Jerusalem Post’ New York conference on key issues next weekend.

Israel has been quietly active over a long period in preventing Tehran from achieving its nuclear aims, former prime minister Ehud Olmert revealed recently to The Jerusalem Post in an interview ahead of next weekend’s second annual Jerusalem Post Conference in New York City.

“We did many things quietly over a long period of time that certainly helped prevent the Iranians from achieving this capacity long ago, but the effort must be led with the United States and the international community,” said Olmert, who will be the keynote speaker at the conference on April 28, as he was at the inaugural conference last year.
