Palestinians rejects UAE’s coronavirus aid sent via flight to Israel

Staying in character to “never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity,” the Palestinian leadership rejected the 16 tons of coronavirus medical aid shipment from the UAE to the Palestinians in Gaza & the PA, just because it arrived at Israel’s airport.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) declined a shipment of medical supplies sent by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) via Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport, Palestinian news agency Maan reported Thursday.

The PA rejected the shipment, which included 16 tons of medical aid for coping with the coronavirus, just as it arrived at Israel’s airport on Tuesday, according to the report as cited by the Andalou Agency.

“The UAE authorities did not coordinate with the State of Palestine before sending the aid,” government sources told Maan, adding that “Palestinians refuse to be a bridge [for Arab countries] seeking to have normalized ties with Israel.”

There are no diplomatic relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which includes air travel between the two countries.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday accused the UAE of committing “treachery” and “betrayal” after its Etihad Airways cargo plane flew to Israel.

Khamenei wrote on Twitter that the act “betrayed Palestine by supporting Israel.”

A whole generation later, and nothing has changed.

The Palestinian leadership have NEVER EVER put the welfare of their people before the self interests of their ‘business’. This is what always happens when material aid is sent instead of financial aid.
