Israel’s Defense Minister offers humanitarian aid to ailing Lebanon

Israel’s Defense Minister said while inaugurating a monument in honor of Southern Lebanese Army (SLA) soldiers, “as an Israeli, as a Jew and as a human being, my heart aches seeing the images of people going hungry on the streets of Lebanon.”

Palestinians rejects UAE’s coronavirus aid sent via flight to Israel

Staying in character to “never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity,” the Palestinian leadership rejected the 16 tons of coronavirus medical aid shipment from the UAE to the Palestinians in Gaza & the PA, just because it arrived at Israel’s airport.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) declined a shipment of medical supplies sent by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) via Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport, Palestinian news agency Maan reported Thursday.

Israel distributes ‘week of rice’ to the needy in Vietnam

In the first rice donation from a foreign diplomatic agency in Vietnam to those affected by the pandemic, the Israeli Embassy donates 3 kgs (almost 7 pounds) of rice to each person who lost their job due to the coronavirus outbreak, enough to feed their families for a week.

Israeli medical team sent to help fight Samoan measles outbreak

In response to the United Nations World Health Organization’s appeal to Israel for help in Samoa, Israeli’s Foreign Ministry asked the Sheba Medical Center to send a delegation of medical experts.

A medical team from Israel is on its way to the Pacific island nation of Samoa to assist overwhelmed healthcare workers trying to contain a serious measles epidemic and treat those already infected.

Israeli aid team arrive in Indonesia following devastating earthquake & tsunami

Israel’s first team of emergency responders from Rescuers Without Borders includes doctors, paramedics and emergency aid specialists.
• A 2nd aid delegation consisting primarily of trauma specialists will head to Indonesia later on.

An Israeli aid team has been working in Indonesia in recent days to help the country and its people cope with the aftermath of a devastating tsunami last weekend, triggered by an earthquake at sea.

The Israeli volunteers are members of the organization Rescuers Without Borders, and include doctors, paramedics and other emergency aid specialists.

IDF concludes years of humanitarian operations in Syria

With the Assad regime regaining control over the country, the IDF is ending its ‘Operation Good Neighbor’ after years of secretly supplying humanitarian aid, including food & medical supplies to untold thousands of Syrian civilians wounded during the 7 yr-old Syrian civil war.

Trump strips $200m in aid to the Palestinian Authority

Failing a review directed by President Trump “to ensure these funds are spent in accordance with U.S. national interests and provide value to the U.S. taxpayer,” the State Department cut  $200+ million in aid to the Palestinians.

Israel sends humanitarian aid to flood victims in Indian state of Kerala

With over 350 killed and 800,000 left homeless in the worst flooding the Indian state of Kerala has seen in over a century, Israel sends food & clothing with IsraAid suppling clean water & counseling for the victims.

Israel has sent humanitarian aid to victims of the monsoon floods in the Indian state of Kerala. At least 350 people were killed and more than 800,000 were left homeless by the disaster.

Israeli Consul in Bangalore Dana Koresh and the consulate staff delivered the first truck of humanitarian aid Tuesday to the residents of Kerala.

Israeli shoe manufacturer sends 2,000 sandals to Syrian refugees

IDF renders life-saving treatment to 6 Syrians before transport to Israeli hospitals

Four Syrian children, 2 adults were given initial life-saving treatment by IDF soldiers in the field before being transferred to a hospital.
– IDF repeats: ‘Israel will not open borders to fleeing Syrians but emergency medical assistance and humanitarian aid will continue.’

The IDF transferred six wounded Syrians, including four young children, to Israeli hospitals for treatment on Saturday, just one day after the military announced it would not allow entry to Syrians fleeing the regime offensive yet will continue providing humanitarian aid.

On Sunday, the Volcan del Fuego volcano southwest of Guatemala City erupted, killing more than 60 people and burying nearby towns in ash.

The National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction in Guatemala said that fiery clouds of smoke were billowing from the volcano and that soot blanketed cars and houses in the nearby villages of San Pedro Yepocapa and Sangre de Cristo. Continue Reading »

ICRC send ‘War Surgeons’ to deal with Gaza’s June ‘an-Naksah’ riots

The Red Cross will set up a 50-bed surgical unit at the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, just in time for the June 5th anniversary of the an-Naksah, or Arab ‘setback’ of the 1967 Six Day War, when even larger riots are expected to culminate at the Hamas built “return camps” located on Gaza’s border with Israel.

GENEVA – The International Committee of the Red Cross is sending two teams of war surgeons to Gaza and setting up a surgical unit in the enclave’s main hospital to treat heavy casualties from clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians.
