A Muslim cleric from Haifa has instructed muezzins in the city to refrain from calls to prayer during the High Holidays, Yedioth Ahronoth reported.

Palestinian & IDF Medics Team Up…a Lot!

Once again, Israeli & Palestinian medics arrive at the scene of an accident where they work together with only one thing on their minds, to save lives.

Yesterday, a young Palestinian man was struck by a car while riding his donkey in the village of Huwwara, near Nablus. To save his life, IDF paramedics and Magen David Adom – an Israeli civilian volunteer organization – joined together with the Palestinian police and the Red Crescent.

Farmers from Gaza invited to Israel Agriculture Expo

If things are calm on the security front, there is no reason not to boost agricultural and economical ties.

In yet another piece of news contradicting claims that Israel “has it out” for the Palestinians, some 30 farmers from the Gaza Strip were invited to attend an agricultural expo in southern Israel earlier this month.

Palestinian farmer – Photo by Israel Today“Agriculture knows no borders,” Uri Madar from the agriculture department at Israel’s District Coordination Office told the Ynet news portal. “If things are calm on the security front, there is no reason not to boost agricultural and economical ties.”

Ahmed Shafi, the head of the Gaza City Agricultural Association, also refuted accusations that Israel is imposing a blanket siege against Gaza with the aim of crippling its economy. Continue Reading »
