Kibbutz on Lebanon’s Border Performs Evacuation Drill

 

Under the supervision of the Upper Galilee Regional Council, Ma’ayan Baruch ran an exercise evacuating its at-risk population on Israel’s Northern Border, in preparation for the probable ‘Third Lebanon War.’

A decade following the Second Lebanon War and on the background of warnings of Hezbollah threats, a few dozen residents of Kibbutz Ma’ayan Baruch kibbutz in the Upper Galilee participated on Tuesday morning in an evacuation drill, the first of its kind. Wildfire breaks out in North, 1000 people evacuated

No injuries; fire fighters extinguish fire that broke out at Park Snir, between Kibbutz Maayan-Baruch and Kibbutz HaGoshrim.

A bush fire broke out Friday night in Park Snir between Kibbutz Maayan Baruch and Kibbutz HaGoshrim in the North.

Large forces of fire fighters and police were called to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire after several hours.

The emergency services evacuated some one thousand people visiting the area including dozens of families who were camping in the region.

There were no injuries and the authorities said that there were no concerns regarding the safety of the kibbutzim residents. Continue Reading »
