REPORT: Trump asked Israel to release Turkish suspect who funded Hamas

A Washington Post article suggests Israel deported a Turkish woman after having already indicted her for providing assistance to the terror group Hamas, in a deal to assist the White House to get Turkey to release American Pastor Andrew Bruson, who’s been imprisoned almost two years.

Reports that a Turkish detainee in Israel was released as a result of a deal with the United States in return for the release of U.S. pastor Andrew Brunson in Turkey are “completely baseless,” a senior Turkish official said on Friday.

After United States President Mike Pence addressed the Knesset earlier today, the diplomat will deliver joint statements with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“With President [Donald] Trump in the White House, and with your strong leadership here in Israel, the best days of the U.S. and our most cherished ally, Israel, are yet to come,” Pence told Netanyahu.

US Vice President Mike Pence began a visit to Israel on Sunday after being praised as a “great friend” by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and shunned by the Palestinians over US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
