Report: PM Modi to seek direct India-Israel flights over Saudi Arabia airspace

Having already inked an impressive series of bilateral agreements between PM Netanyahu and PM Narendra Modi, the Indian leader will now seek to enable Air India to fly over Saudi skies to Israel, thereby cutting flight time by 2 hours, lowering fuel costs and ticket prices that should boost the number of flights and increase tourism.

A major Indian airline may begin operating direct return flights to Israel which will include a navigation route above Saudi Arabia as part of the further consolidation of diplomatic ties between Jerusalem and New Delhi.

NEW DELHI – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi unexpectedly met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he landed at New Delhi’s airport on Sunday afternoon, a gesture of warmth that was not in the original schedule.

REPORT: Cancelled $500 million missile deal with India still tenable

Just prior to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming five day visit, meant to be spent with Indian PM Narendra Modi for much of the visit, the Hindustan Times reported that the Indian Army insists on the deal being completed.

A $500 million Indian purchase of 8,000 Spike antitank missiles from Israel that New Delhi canceled last week, just days before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming trip to India, may still come about through a different channel, Indian media outlets reported.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this afternoon (Wednesday, 5 July 2017), met with Moshe Holtzberg, whose parents were murdered in the November 26, 2008 terrorist attack on the Mumbai Chabad House. He told them that he misses India; Indian Prime Minister Modi said that his country was open to him.

Prime Minister Netanyahu invited Holtzberg to accompany him on his future trip to India.
