The Muslim family of East Jerusalem, came under attack by three men in the Sur Baher area. However, after the group learned that the family was Palestinian, they fled from the scene.

Rashuan Salman, his wife Dina, and his daughter were making their way from Umm Tuba to Jerusalem, when they were attacked.

“They tried to pull us out of the car and they hit us. It seemed that they intended to kill us. They tried to open the door and my wife begged them to leave us alone. She spoke in Arabic, and only then did they realize that we are Arabs. I hit the gas and drove away as fast as possible,” Salman said.

“Me and my wife look Jewish. Even the police officer who arrived at the scene, said he was sure we are Jews. He told us that this kind of thing happens all the time,” he also said.

Jerusalem Police said that they have launched an investigation into the incident, but so far, no arrests have been made.
