Palestinian terrorist neutralized in stabbing attack, one Border Policeman injured

A 21yr-old Border Guard policeman was injured in the leg at the Tapuah junction knife attack, and evacuated to hospital for treatment.

A Palestinian teenager who tried to attack an Israeli border guard in the West Bank with a knife on Saturday was shot dead, an Israeli police spokeswoman said.

She said the 17-year-old attacker, whose identity was not disclosed, approached a group of border guards and pulled a knife from his bag to attack one of them, and another guard opened fire on him.

One 21-year-old soldier was injured in the leg and evacuated to the hospital.

Israeli media is reporting that the assailant hailed from the Palestinian town of Tulkarem.

The attack took place at the Tapuach Junction, located in the central West Bank near the Jewish settlements of Ariel and Tapuach.

The West Bank is under Israeli military control, with around 400,000 Jewish settlers and an estimated 2.8 million Palestinians residing in the territory
