In a statement printed on his official website, Gerald Scarfe emphasized that “I am not, and never have been, anti-Semitic.”

He said the drawing, published Jan. 27 — International Holocaust Memorial Day — in the Sunday Times, was “a criticism of Netanyahu, and not of the Jewish people: there was no slight whatsoever intended against them.” Continue Reading »

Caroline’s Bye-bye to London

Israel shouldn’t bother to try to win over Europe because the Europeans have multiple reasons for always being anti-Israel and none of them have anything to do with anything that Israel does.

By Caroline Glick

I live in a mildly anti-Semitic country, and Europe is mildly anti-Semitic, and they hold Israel to a higher moral standard than its neighbors. If you bring up Israel in a public meeting in England, the whole atmosphere changes. The standard left-wing person never feels more comfortable than when attacking Israel.

Amb. Prosor : “Make no mistake: France’s principled stand should be commended. We only ask that France and all the countries who are supports its principled stand today, support Israel tomorrow when we fight Islamic terrorism on our borders.”

By  Israel Today Staff

Israel on Wednesday suggested that the international community’s overwhelming support for France’s anti-terror military incursion into the west African nation of Mali reveals a clear double standard when it comes to the Jewish state’s security.

Not only in the Middle East, students are taught that Israel has no right to exist. The more students around the world are fed this brand of propaganda, the more remote prospects for any true peace to happen.

By Ryan Jones

Anti-Israeli propaganda wrapped up in a Story of Bethlehem.

Squeezing a Story Out of Bethlehem is a great way to seek understanding and good-will, but a few in the media without scruples see this as a propaganda bonanza.

By

Every year around this time, it’s the same tired old story. A journalist attempts to find a Christmas angle for Palestinian suffering, most often focusing on Bethlehem’s Palestinian Christian residents. This year is no different and Harriet Sherwood of The Guardian and sister Sunday paper The Observer is the journalist filling the seasonal role.

Christmas Exploited for Israel Bashing: ‘O Boycott All ye Faithful’

PA-based Christian orgs are getting into ‘the holiday spirit’, with libelous attacks on Israel, including the ‘Jews killed Jesus’.

By Maayana Miskin

A new report from NGO Monitor reveals that several Christian organizations that support the Palestinian Authority are using Christmas to attack Israel. Holiday propaganda ranged from half-truths aimed at portraying Israel as oppressive to “crude anti-Semitism” based on historic Christian accusations of Jews being prophet-killers, the group said.

The report, titled, “O Boycott All ye Faithful,” criticized groups including Christian Aid, Sabeel, Kairos Palestine, and Israel Palestine Mission Network, Presbyterian Church (USA).

The latter group has published a daily advent devotional headed by a picture in which Mary and Joseph, parents of Jesus, are trapped behind a wall styled on Israel’s security barrier between Bethlehem and Jerusalem. Continue Reading »

Haaretz News Writer ‘Wins’ the 2012 Booby Prize for ‘Dishonest Reporting’

HonestReporting, which tracks int’l media bias against Israel, awards Israel’s newspaper Haaretz writer Gideon Levy with the “Dishonest Reporting Prize” for 2012.

By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

The HonestReporting website, which tracks media bias against Israel, awards Haaretz writer Gideon Levy the “Dishonest Reporting Prize” for 2012.

The media watch site explained that although it traditionally cites international media for faulty reporting, it cited Levy as the worst offender this year because foreign media often base their reports on Haaretz, the most popular left-wing newspaper in Israel.

The newspaper  denies it is anti-religious or anti-Zionist, but only the most left-wing liberals, and non-Israelis who do not really know the country, could view it otherwise. Continue Reading »

The ads depict a succession of shrinking Palestinian territories in four maps and are accompanied by a statement that reads: “4.7 million Palestinians are classified as refugees by the United Nations.” The ad claims to cover “Palestinian loss of land” from 1946 to 2010. Continue Reading »
