Israeli Arab Gov’t Member: ‘Israel is not an apartheid state’

Ra’am Party leader and Israeli Knesset Member Mansour Abbas, has rejected the claim that the State of Israel was guilty of being apartheid, pointing out the obvious, that his Israeli-Arab party was a member of the current Israeli government.

Ra’am Party leader and Israeli Knesset Member Mansour Abbas, has rejected the claim that the State of Israel was guilty of the crime of apartheid within its sovereign borders.

“I would not call it apartheid,” he said during a virtual talk he gave at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy on Thursday.

Palestinian convicted of selling land to Jews dies in custody

The Palestinian inmate, whose identity is still unknown, was arrested in 2012 by the PA security forces for his involvement in the sale of land to Jews.

A Palestinian prisoner who was accused of selling land to Jews died in a hospital run by the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah.

A PA court had sentenced the man to ten years in prison for his involvement in real estate transactions “with the enemy,” PA police spokesman Luay Zreikat said. Fatah expels mayor, will punish Palestinians partying with Jews at wedding

The Fatah leadership expelled the mayor, is demanding his resignation as mayor, called on the Palestinian Authority to investigate all Palestinians who were seen celebrating with the Jews, and issued a statement strongly condemning their presence at the wedding, dubbing it ‘harmful to Palestinian national customs.’

An American citizen was sentenced to life in prison by a Palestinian Authority court Monday for involvement in the sale of Arab-owned real estate to Jews.

On Monday, the Grand Criminal Court in Ramallah sentenced Isaam Akel, an Arab American who also holds an Israeli identification card, to life imprisonment with hard labor, the PA’s WAFA media outlet reported.

Palestinian Security rounds up dozens, arrest 44 Arabs for selling property to Jews

Mahmoud Abbas’ security forces reported in a rare statement that they have arrested 44 Palestinians suspected of involvement in alleged real estate transactions of “transferring ownership over [Islamic] land to the occupation” and ‘urged’ others not to sell lands or homes in the West Bank and eastern side of Jerusalem to Jews.

Execution carried out on Arab who sold property to Jews

Israeli lawmakers cry foul when a Palestinian man who was wanted by the PA for brokering a land transaction to Jewish buyers, a crime punishable by death, was executed in Jaljuliya, an Israeli-Arab town in central Israel near Kfar Saba.

US Ambassador David M. Friedman has demanded the immediate release of Isaam Akel, a Palestinian-American arrested by the Palestinian Authority security forces two months ago for engaging in a real estate transaction with Jews in the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City.

Israel, US reject UN agency’s invidious report of ‘Apartheid Regime’, as outright lie

Palestinian renew campaign to target Arabs selling property to Jews

 

Anti-Israel activists operating under the banner of the “National Work Commission,” backed by the Palestinian Authority, are promoting throughout the Arab neighborhoods, a new push to stop Jewish acquisition of land or property in Jerusalem.

A group of Muslim activists in Jerusalem, backed by the Palestinian Authority, have launched a new campaign to deter Muslims from selling property to Jews in the Israeli capital.

Activists operating under the banner of the “National Work Commission” declared the campaign last week at a public press conference, and have since been promoting it throughout Arab neighborhoods.
